Firehut looks great in the garden, on the patio or in the yard. It is just the perfect size and is versatile: it can be used for grilling, smoking, braising or frying. You can continue cooking your favourite dishes outdoors until late autumn and enjoy the cosy atmosphere created by real fire.

With Firehut Masterkit, you can turn the fireplace into a grill or even a smoker. You can also use the ancient flame broil technique and prepare food by hanging.

You can cook a wide variety of dishes using many different cooking methods: an entire chicken, smoked and blazed fresh fish, crayfish, vegetables… and of course steaks! There is nothing quite like the rich, smoky flavour of a juicy steak grilled with wood!

Masterkit comes with a strong, porcelain enamelled cast iron grill grate and a steel ring for grate installation. The accessories also include a hatch with a thermometer and a wooden handle, perfect for making the temperature inside the grill more even. The included heat diffuser plate and drip tray for slow cooking with indirect heat possible. For smoking, you can lift the grill grate higher, further away from the fire. Burn small pieces of wood under the separate smoking fire chamber, adding more wood as necessary. Heat is evenly distributed throughout the grill and can be controlled quite easily.

Grilling with open fire and smoking require patience but also provide time for relaxing. It is a nice, unhurried way of spending time with friends and family or just by yourself. Peace, the sounds of nature, the crackle of fire, the delicious aroma of food cooking over fire… a pleasure for all the senses!

In addition to wood, you can also burn charcoal or briquettes, which make it possible to start grilling considerably faster.

The product is made of uncoated and unpainted steel. Each product is unique and may have small scratches or marks on the surface. This is a feature of the raw materials we use. The surface will attain its final appearance during the first weeks of use. Over time, the surface will change colour from red to dark brown and any scratches and marks will disappear.

COR-TEN® metal parts of the body have been pre-treated during production and have thin, coppery patina. The surface gets its final patina during the first weeks of use and turns from reddish hue to dark brown over time. The hue of the colour depends on the weather conditions, among other things.

Ash removal

The large stainless steel ash catcher box is easy to empty. The delivery also contains an ash removal tool, with which you can easily pull ash to the ash catcher box.

Optimised air circulation

Air can circulate freely under the firepit grate even if the ash catcher box is closed. A blazing board can be placed on the front edge of the fireplace. The blazing board is sold separately.

Rain cap

The rain cap also functions as the adjustment valve for MASTERKIT accessories. When the upper valve is open only a little or nearly closed, the temperature in the grill rises and more smoke is formed.

Cast iron grill grate

The porcelain enamelled cast iron grill grate is the only correct choice for wood-fire grilling. It withstands extreme heat without distortion and offers excellent frying properties. Cast iron reserves heat, making food juicy and delicious and leaving professional-looking grilling marks on its surface (only MASTERKIT or FH87003).

Front-edge hatch

A stainless steel hatch with a thermometer and a wooden handle (only MASTERKIT or FH87004).

Possible to use indirect heat

Combination of the smoking fire chamber and the heat diffuser plate securing gentle indirect heat. The grill grate can be also lifted higher, further away from the fire, into a “smoking position” (only MASTERKIT or FH87004).

DESIGN AND EASE OF USE

Unique design!

Inspired by the goahti, the Sami hut, Firehut enchants its viewer: the high firepit with its dark background makes fire look amazing. Thanks to its design and weight, the fireplace does not fall down by itself but is still easy to move around in the yard.

A SAFE CHOICE FOR YEARS TO COME

Robust and durable!

The particularly robust structure withstands extreme heat safely. The body of the fireplace is made of 3mm COR-TEN® steel that has been pre-treated during production so that it has beautiful brown patina already when delivered. (2*) Other parts, such as the ash catcher box, the rain cap and the hatch, are made of stainless steel.

MATERIALS AND ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLINESS

COR-TEN® steel is weather-resistant: it creates its own protection against oxidation and does not need to be painted. This steel type is an environmentally friendly choice. The outcome: a surface with a clearly visible pattern, each product a unique piece of art. Naturally. The product is delivered on a small wooden pallet to make the transport as ecological as possible. The body consists of four parts that are attached together with bolts.
