With Firehut Masterkit, you can turn the fireplace into a grill or even a smoker. You can also use the ancient flame broil technique and prepare food by hanging.
You can cook a wide variety of dishes using many different cooking methods: an entire chicken, smoked and blazed fresh fish, crayfish, vegetables… and of course steaks! There is nothing quite like the rich, smoky flavour of a juicy steak grilled with wood!
Masterkit comes with a strong, porcelain enamelled cast iron grill grate and a steel ring for grate installation. The accessories also include a hatch with a thermometer and a wooden handle, perfect for making the temperature inside the grill more even. The included heat diffuser plate and drip tray for slow cooking with indirect heat possible. For smoking, you can lift the grill grate higher, further away from the fire. Burn small pieces of wood under the separate smoking fire chamber, adding more wood as necessary. Heat is evenly distributed throughout the grill and can be controlled quite easily.
Grilling with open fire and smoking require patience but also provide time for relaxing. It is a nice, unhurried way of spending time with friends and family or just by yourself. Peace, the sounds of nature, the crackle of fire, the delicious aroma of food cooking over fire… a pleasure for all the senses!
In addition to wood, you can also burn charcoal or briquettes, which make it possible to start grilling considerably faster.
